Shura Council welcomes successful Arab League summit

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz today praised the civil and military sectors for their efforts during last week’s Arab League summit in Riyadh.

In related news, the Shura (Consultative) Council today welcomed the outcome of the summit. Chairman Saleh bin Homaid said that the Shura Council had followed the summit with great interest, in particular the Riyadh Declaration and calls for Arab unity.

The Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL) also welcomed the summit’s successful outcome today. In a statement, Secretary-General Abdullah Al-Turki lauded the in-depth discussion of problems facing the Muslim nation and the Arab peoples and appropriate solutions.
