The Hebron project is being financed by the Saudi Popular Committee for the Relief of the Palestinian People as part of the Kingdom’s ongoing support for the Palestinians.
Earlier this year, Saudi Arabia announced plans to finance a similar housing project in Sri Lanka for victims of the 2004 tsunami. The Sri Lanka project, which will be located in the city of Ampara, includes 500 houses, two schools, a clinic, a mosque, a playground and a shopping complex.
