Saudi Arabia and Morocco sign number of agreements during the King’s visit

Saudi Arabia and Morocco signed a number of agreements during Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz’s official visit to Morocco, which concluded yesterday.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal and Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Benaissa signed an agreement on political consultation between their respective ministries.

Minister of Finance Ibrahim Al-Assaf and Moroccan Minister of Tourism Adel Douiri signed an agreement on tourism cooperation. Al-Assaf also signed an agreement to construct a dam in the Chaouia-Ouardika region of north-central Morocco.

Minister of Culture and Information Iyad Madani and Moroccan Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Ahmed Toufiq signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Islamic affairs.

Saudi Ambassador to Morocco Mohamed Al-Beshr and Nouraddin Boutaib of the Moroccan Ministry of Interior signed an agreement to twin the cities of Yanbu in Saudi Arabia and Moulay Ali City in Morocco.
