Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz will begin a five-nation tour tomorrow in Spain, the Royal Court announced today. The tour also includes visits to France, Poland, Egypt and Jordan.
The visits aim to enhance bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and those five nations. King Abdullah will also meet with the leaders of those countries to discuss regional and international issues.
In remarks to the press today, Saudi Ambassador to Spain Prince Saud bin Nayef characterized King Abdullah’s visit to Spain is expected to boost Saudi-Spanish ties at all levels.
Prince Saud noted that the King would meet with King Juan Carlos, Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero as well as ministers in the Spanish government. The Middle East will be at the top of the agenda, he added.
Moreover, the two countries are likely to sign agreements on the avoidance of dual taxation, security and military cooperation, and health issues, he noted.
