Around 2,300 Chinese-made toys sold under the brand name Mattel are being recalled from Saudi stores, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said today. The toys in question were found to contain lead paint and potentially hazardous magnets that could come loose.

Earlier this week, Saudi Arabia removed seven brands of Chinese-made toothpaste that were found to contain a poisonous chemical from stores. Lab tests revealed traces of diethylene glycol in the toothpaste, which are sold under the names Best, Smile 2, Acura 2, Special 2, Shine, Moon Light and Zane.
