Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal attended the opening session of the 62nd United Nations General Assembly in New York last night. Prince Saud is heading the Saudi delegation to the session.

In addition to attending the opening session yesterday, Prince Saud chaired a meeting of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) foreign ministers. He also attended separate ministerial meetings of the Rio Group, ASEAN and the European Union to discuss issues of international cooperation.
