Ten Saudi detainees at the US military prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, were returned to Saudi Arabia, a Ministry of Interior spokesman reported today.
In a statement released to the Saudi Press Agency, Minister of Interior Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz reiterated the Kingdom’s efforts to bring all of the Saudi citizens currently being held at Guantanamo Bay back to the Kingdom and praised US authorities for their cooperation in the matter. Prince Nayef added that the repatriated detainees will be subject to Saudi law.
The Ministry also released the names of the 10 detainees. They are: Ziyad Saleh Mohammad Al-Bahooth, Mishaal Saad Abdulaziz Al-Rasheed, Jameel Ali Attiah Al-Kaabi, Khaled Mulawwah Shaia Al-Qahtani, Naif Fahd Mutlaq Al-Otaibi, Abdullah Aidha Abdullah Al-Mutrafi, Abdullah Ali Naif Al-Otaibi, Bandar Ali Abdulaziz Al-Rumaihi, Abdulrahman Nashi Nadi Al-Otaibi and Abdulhakeem Abdulrahman Abdulaziz Al-Moussa.
