The foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states as well as the foreign ministers of Egypt and Jordan met with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in Amman, Jordan today.
Talks focused on the latest regional developments, the Middle East peace process, Iran’s nuclear program, the situation in Palestine in addition to other international issues. The Saudi delegation was led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal.
The foreign ministers’ meeting with Secretary Rice was held on the fringes of the Dead Sea 2006 Forum for the Future. The forum provides partners, supportive countries and organizations with a venue to engage on political, economic and social reform on a regular basis.
