The Saudi Telecom Company has increased its capacity in the Mina area, in anticipation of pilgrims’ arrival there tomorrow.

Director General for Information Affairs Eng. Saad Al-Qahtani said that STC increased the number of telephone lines in Mina to 20,000, 20 percent higher than last year. The company can accommodate more than 1,045,000 users in Mina, a 17 percent increase over last year.

Mobile capacity has also been increased at other holy sites in order to accommodate around three million users, he said.

Al-Qahtani said that STC regularly increases its capacity during Hajj season to accommodate the influx of pilgrims.
