Two suspects on most-wanted list confirmed killed in Abqaiq attack

The Ministry of Interior has identified two perpetrators of Friday’s attack on the Abqaiq oil refinery as No. 8 and 9 on the Kingdom’s list of most-wanted  terrorists issued on June 28, 2005.

In a statement today, the Ministry said that DNA tests were used to identify the two suspects as Mohammed bin Saleh bin Mohammed Al-Ghaith, No. 8 on the most-wanted list, and Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Tuwaijri, No. 9. Both were members of Al Qaeda.

The Ministry also said today that the vehicles used in the attack were identified as two white pickup trucks. Each truck carried more than one ton of ammonium nitrate as well as other explosives including RDX, PETN and nitroglycerin.
