Saudi Aramco has announced that its Hawiyah Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) Recovery Program megaproject is expected to be completed one month ahead of schedule.

Construction began on the megaproject November 30. It is expected to add hundreds of thousands of barrels of petrochemical feedstock daily to the industrial cities of Jubail on the Arabian Gulf and Yanbu on the Red Sea when production begins in October 2007.

In order to complete the megaproject, Saudi Aramco has teamed up with contractors Snamprogetti of Italy, the JGC Corporation of Japan, General Dynamics, Yokogawa of Japan, GE-Nuevo Pignone of Italy and several in-Kingdom contractors.
