Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal and Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General Abdulrahman Al-Attiyah held a joint press conference today after the preparatory meeting for the upcoming GCC Supreme Council summit this weekend.

Prince Saud said that today’s meeting prepared the agenda and draft resolutions for Saturday’s summit.

On Iran, Prince Saud said that there is great concern over the environmental aspect of nuclear reactors on the Arabian Gulf coast, and that there are real risks involved. He expressed the hope that Iran would cooperate with GCC countries to implement controls to avoid potential disasters. He also said that it was agreed to contact Tehran.
