The Shura Council held a regular session in Riyadh today, presided over by Chairman Saleh bin Homaid. The Council discussed various issues including desalination and approved a number of recommendations to improve the availability of desalinated water.

Bin Homaid also noted that the Council recently participated in a conference of parliaments of Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) states in Turkey. The conference highlighted dialogue among civilizations, respect of prophets, and the concept of terrorism.
