Saudi relief aid arrives in the Philippines

A plane carrying 70 tons of relief aid arrived in Manila today, per the directive of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. The aid included foodstuff, tents, rugs and blankets worth SR 1.8 million [$480,000].

The aid is within the framework of the Kingdom’s ongoing humanitarian assistance to countries in need. Last year, Saudi Arabia sent urgent relief aid to the Philippines after floods ravaged parts of the country.
