In an address to the nation yesterday, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz said that the welfare of the nation is his top priority, the Arab News reported today.

King Abdullah made the address to thank the Saudi people for their heartfelt response to his directive to reduce the prices of gas and diesel fuel.

“Every citizen of this beloved country should know I have assumed this historic trust keeping in my mind your concerns, hopes and aspirations,” the King said, as quoted in the Arab News.

“I promise you to spare no effort in your service in any matter that may benefit your religion and your world,” the King told the Saudi people.
