Saudi Ambassador to the US Prince Turki Al-Faisal hosted a reception in honor of Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal at the ambassador’s residence last night. Prince Saud is in Washington for the second Saudi-US Strategic Dialogue, to be held May 18.
Guests at the reception included Vice President and Mrs. Cheney, a number of Arab ambassadors to the US, current and former US officials, as well as members of the business community and the media.
The Strategic Dialogue was established by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and President Bush during their April 25, 2005 meeting at the president’s ranch in Crawford, Texas. It aims to institutionalize relations and cooperation between the two nations. The first Strategic Dialogue was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 13, 2005.
