Saudi-Jordanian talks focus on Palestinians, Iraq

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz held talks with Jordanian King Abdullah II last night. King Abdullah II is in Saudi Arabia for a two-day official visit.

The talks, which took place at the Saudi King’s farm in Al-Janadriyah, focused on the Palestinian issue and the situation in Iraq. The two leaders also discussed other international, Arab and Islamic issues as well as bilateral relations.

A number of top Saudi officials attended the summit, including Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal.

The Saudi-Jordanian summit took place amid a new international push to revive the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah met last week with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Sharm Al-Sheikh for talks about the peace process.
