Saudi diplomat discusses Saudi-US relations on outreach in Little Rock

  Nail Al-Jubeir addresses the Little Rock Rotary

Director of the Information Office of the Saudi Embassy Nail Al-Jubeir spoke to the Rotary Club of Little Rock, Arkansas May 30.


Al-Jubeir’s remarks focused on the Saudi-US relationship and ongoing developments in the Kingdom, followed by a question and answer session from the audience. Questions focused on international issues such as terrorism and the Iranian nuclear crisis, the economic situation in Saudi Arabia as well as issues within Saudi society including the role of women, the effect of terrorism, and the influence of television and the Internet on Saudi youth.

Al-Jubeir’s visit to Little Rock is part of a larger Saudi outreach program in the US. Saudi Ambassador to the US Prince Turki Al-Faisal has been conducting a tour of America in order to listen to and address Americans’ questions about the Kingdom. Prince Turki has already traveled to Texas, Arizona, Massachusetts, Virginia, New York, California, Washington State, Michigan, Illinois and Georgia, speaking before various groups and organizations.
