Saudi Ambassador hosts reception for ADC convention

Saudi Ambassador to the US Prince Turki Al-Faisal hosted a welcoming reception for the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) at the Saudi Embassy in Washington last night. ADC President Mary Rose Oakar attended the reception, as did Iraqi Ambassador Samir Sumaidaie, Yemeni Ambassador Abdulwahab Abdulla Al-Hajjri and Palestinian Authority representative Afif Safieh.

The event was part of the ADC’s 26th Annual Convention, which is taking place in Washington from June 15-18. The theme of this year’s convention is “Celebrating Our Heritage: Building Our Future.”

Founded in 1980 by former US Sen. James Abourezk, ADC is a civil rights organization committed to defending the rights of people of Arab descent and promoting their rich cultural heritage.
