The Ministry of Defense and Aviation issued a statement yesterday announcing that Saudi Arabia has signed an Understanding Document with Britain to purchase 72 Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft. The agreement is intended to establish a closer partnership in modernizing the Saudi armed forces.

Part of the agreement includes the transfer of technology and the establishment of training centers for Saudis in the Kingdom.
