The new Ka'abah kiswa (cover) was presented today to Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Sheibi, the leading keeper of the Holy Ka'abah by Sheikh Salih bin Abdulrahman Al-Husayyin, President of the Affairs of Al-Masjid Al-Haraam and Al-Masjid An-Nabawii (Two Holy Mosques Affairs). 

 The new Kiswa will be placed on the Holy Ka'abah on Friday, December 29, 2007, the climax of the annual Hajj.  The Kiswa, which is 14 meters (42 feet) high and 47 meters (141 feet) wide and weighs nearly 650 kilograms (1,400 pounds), is manufactured by the Kiswa Factory near Makkah at a cost of SR20 million ($5.3 million).
