Kingdom to finance housing settlements for Palestinians

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has approved the construction of 100 housing units in the West Bank city of Al-Khalil (Hebron). The housing units, which will provide shelter for Palestinian widows and divorcees, will be constructed in cooperation with the UN Human Settlements Program (Habitat).

The project, which is being funded by the Saudi Committee for the Relief of the Palestinian People, is expected to cost $6.3 million. It is in line with the Kingdom’s ongoing humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.
