Former Prime Minister Hashimoto is in Saudi Arabia to attend the third round of the Japan-Arab Dialogue Forum that he co-chairs with Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal. The two-day forum will be held in Riyadh January 8 and 9 and will focus on long-term political, economic and social stability in the Arab world where as many as 80 million jobs will have to be created in the next 15 years.
The Japan-Arab Dialogue Forum was established to deepen the dialogue between Japan and the Arab world. The first forum was held in Tokyo, September 4-5, 2003; the second meeting was in Cairo and Alexandria, Egypt March 3-4, 2004.
