Interior Minister gives Kingdom’s terrorism statistics

Minister of Interior Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz today chaired the first general session of the four-day Counter-Terrorism International Conference that is taking place in Riyadh. In his address, he confirmed that over the past two years, Saudi Arabia has suffered from 22 acts of terrorism, resulting in the deaths of 90 innocent people and injuries to 507 others. Thirty-nine security officers have lost their lives, and 213 have been wounded, while carrying out their duties. Of the deviant group, 92 militants have been killed and 17 injured. Prince Nayef also revealed that the efforts of the security forces have succeeded in aborting 52 planned terrorist acts during this period.
