Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) Hamad Al-Sayyari, addressing the 71st meeting of the Development Committee of Directors of the World Bank Group in Washington DC today, called on advanced countries to raise their aid to third-world development to reach 0.7 percent of gross domestic income, as has been agreed upon. He reviewed the extent of the assistance provided by Saudi Arabia to developing countries, both through government aid and as a result of transfers by the Kingdom’s foreign workers.
