Saudi Hollandi Bank records profits for 2005 first quarter

The Saudi Hollandi Bank issued a statement reporting a net profit of SR202.9 million [U.S.$54.18 million] for the quarter ended March 31, 2005, up 24 percent from SR163.9 million [$43.77 million] for the same period last year. Customers' deposits increased slightly to SR24.1 billion [$6.44 billion]; loans and advances increased by 18 percent to reach SR17.3 billion [$4.62 billion]; and the investment portfolio stood at SR9.1 billion [$2.43 billion], up 23 percent from last year. The Saudi Hollandi Bank operates 41 branches and 140 ATMs throughout the Kingdom.
