OIC Secretary-General calls for reform

Secretary-General of the Jeddah-based Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Professor Akmaluddin Ihsan Oghli, addressing a preparatory meeting yesterday for the upcoming 32nd session of Islamic foreign ministers scheduled for Sanaa next month, called for reforming the organization and updating OIC statutes. This, he said, would improve OIC’s performance and develop its capabilities. A large number of those heading the delegations participating in the meeting expressed their support for this proposal, and for the internal reform process that he has already initiated at the organization's Secretariat-General.
