Saudi Arabia continues to send aid to Palestinians

The Saudi Commission for the Relief of the Palestinian People has donated SR 8.72 million [U.S. $2.33 million] to the United Nations Development Program, as part of an ongoing program to implement projects in Palestine. This is in addition to SR 2 million [U.S. $0.53 million] to the Saudi Red Crescent Society for the provision of food aid to over 2,500 Palestinian families.

Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal received in Riyadh today Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Information Dr Nabil Shaath, who arrived yesterday on a short visit to the Kingdom. Dr Shaath also met with Information Minister Iyad Madani.
