The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) signed in Vienna, Austria, today the Small Quantities Protocol, an appendix to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Signing for Saudi Arabia was the Kingdom's Permanent Representative to International Organizations Ambassador Omar bin Muhammad Kurdi; and for the Agency, its Director General Muhammad El-Baradei.
