Secretary-General of the Supreme Commission for Tourism (SCT) Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz signed in Riyadh today a ten-month contract with a Spanish consultancy company to provide technical support concerning management and maintenance in the areas of travel, tourism and lodging in the Kingdom.

Prince Sultan bin Salman also signed yesterday an agreement with the Minister of Transport Dr. Jubarah Al-Suraiseri for the construction of roads in areas designated as tourist resorts and attractions. According to a study, 84 percent of tourists traveled by road last year.

Over the past five years, SCT has signed 26 agreements on cooperation as part of its efforts to promote domestic tourism, 13 of them with regional governorates and the rest with ministries.
