Crown Prince announces winners of King Faisal Prize for Service to Islam

Crown Prince Sultan bin  Abdulaziz announced last night that H. E. Shaikh Salih bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Husayyin from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Shaikh Yusuf bin Jasim bin Muhammad Al-Hidji from Kuwait are the joint winners of King Faisal International Prize for Service to Islam.

Shaikh Al-Husayyin is Chairman of the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue and Shaikh Al-Hidji is Chairman of the International Islamic Charity Organization.  Crown Prince Sultan said the prize committee had carefully studied and reviewed names of a number of people working in the service of Islam and selected these two distinguished persons in recognition of their remarkable roles for service to Islam.  The Crown Prince pointed out that the prize for the Service to Islam differs from the prize for Islamic Studies.
