Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz today chaired the weekly session of the Council of Ministers. At the beginning of the session, he highlighted Saudi efforts to expand the two holy mosques and to serve pilgrims. The King then praised the successive security achievements against terrorism, in which preemptive operations led to locating terrorists and eliminating them with minimum casualties and damage. He also lauded the people’s united stand against terrorism, and reiterated the need for all countries of the world to fight terrorism in all its forms.

The Cabinet condemned the terrorist acts in Aqaba, Jordan and Bangladesh.

Turning to domestic matters, the Cabinet highlighted a number of issues, including the King Abdullah’s order to increase the salaries of Saudi government employees and other development programs that are designed to meet the needs of Saudi citizens, create jobs, boost investment and relieve the burden of public debt.
