President Bush hosts iftar at the White House

Saudi Ambassador to the United States Prince Turki Al-Faisal attended an iftar hosted by President George W. Bush at the White House on Monday for Arab and Muslim ambassadors and prominent US Muslim figures.

In his remarks, President Bush congratulated Muslims on the holy month of Ramadan, and said that the occasion provides a good opportunity to renew friendly ties between the US and the Muslim world. Bush also added that he has decided to add a copy of the Qur’an to the White House Library for the first time.
