U.S. President praises Saudi response to terror attack in Jeddah

U.S. President George W. Bush has expressed appreciation of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its prompt response to and capable ending of the terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Jeddah earlier today. Speaking to reporters at the White House, President Bush said: “I want to thank the Saudi government for responding as quickly as they did. We send our heartfelt condolences to the Saudi National Guard that died in the defense of our consulate. I want to thank the Marines for doing their job so splendidly.”  President Bush also expressed confidence that the Kingdom would share with the United States all information available on the incident.
