Saudi-Kazakhstani Joint Commission continues deliberations

The second session of the Saudi-Kazahkstani Joint Commission began its deliberations in Riyadh today under the co-chairmanship of Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Hashim Yamani and Tyemur Khan Hanibitouv, Governor of the City of Astana. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Yamani highlighted the fraternal relations that exist between Saudi Arabia and Kazakhstan, and urged businessmen to implement joint investment projects and take advantage of the incentives and facilities offered. The Kingdom’s Gross National Product (GNP), he added, had risen by 8.2 percent in 2002.

On his part, Governor Hanibitouv said the Kingdom is Kazakhstan’s most important strategic partner, and reiterating his country’s concern to develop its national industries, especially agriculture and infrastructure, urged Saudi businessmen to invest in this development.
