Saudi-Kazakhstani Commission concludes second session

The Joint Saudi-Kazakhstani Commission concluded its second session in Riyadh today under the co-chairmanship of Minister of Industry and Electricity Dr. Hashim Yamani and Tyemur Khan Hanibitouv, Governor of the City of Astana. Dr. Yamani reported that the two sides had reached agreement on increasing the number of trade exchanges, businessmen’s visits, and trade exhibitions, as well as forming a joint task force in the field of gas and petroleum. They also agreed on exchanging information and expertise, holding education and culture symposiums, and enhancing technical and technological relations. The Commission’s third session will take place in Kazakhstan.

Meanwhile, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev met today with Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz. He also held meetings with Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Al-Naimi, Assistant Foreign Minister Dr. Nizar Obeid Madani, and CEO of the Saudi Arabian Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) Muhammad bin Hamad Al-Madhi.
