Prince Sultan undergoes successful minor surgery

The Royal Court has reported that at the King Fahd Armed Forces Hospital in Jeddah today Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, underwent minor surgery for removal of a cyst. The surgery was successful.

Since being admitted to the hospital on Saturday, Prince Sultan has been receiving telephone calls from a number of world leaders wishing him well, including King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain, Algerian President Abdulaziz Bouteflika, and President of Egypt Muhammad Hosni Mubarak. He has also received many visitors, including Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard.
