One security officer and four suspects killed in Buraidah shootout

The Ministry of Interior has announced that one security officer was killed and two injured in a shootout today with a group of armed militants in the area of Buraidah in Qasim Province. In the incident, four wanted suspects, all Saudi, were killed, and one injured.

At 2.30 pm today, a security patrol detected five suspects, members of a deviant group, who had taken refuge in a rest house in Khudairah, a village near the town of Buraidah. Realizing they were surrounded, the suspects began to fire heavily, using machine guns.
