The General Organization for Technical Education and Vocational Training (GOTEVOT) has announced that 45 technical institutes and 13 vocational training centers are to be set up in the Kingdom, in addition to 20 new technical colleges. These 78 institutions will train over 100,000 young Saudis every year.

In addition, vocational training centers will be established at five prisons in Riyadh, Makkah, Jeddah, Dammam and Jizan, as part of a program aimed at helping prisoners to get jobs after completing their jail terms. GOTEVOT is also funding a military training program under which 10,000 Saudis will be given training at its facilities in Riyadh, Al-Kharj and Jeddah in coordination with the Ministries of Defense and Interior. Moreover, GOTEVOT plans to open new centers for women.
