Denial of media reports on identity of militant killed yesterday

Deputy Governor of Riyadh Province Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz today denied media reports identifying the militant killed in yesterday’s shootout in Riyadh as Abdullah Alroshood, number 18 on the wanted poster issued last December. He also denied a media report that six booby-trapped cars were defused by security. Prince Sattam made these remarks following funeral prayers at Imam Turki Mosque in Riyadh for Private First Class Homoud bin Abdullah bin Homoud Al-Harbi, who was killed in yesterday’s incident. He went on to congratulate the security forces on their successes in combating terrorism and hunting down the evildoers of the deviant group.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior has issued details of yesterday’s shootout, naming the militant who was killed as Fahd bin Ali Aldakheel Algablan, who is wanted, although not on the list of 26.
