Saudi Arabia preparing to host Islamic Solidarity Games in 2005

Vice President of the Youth Welfare Organization Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz has reported that arrangements are being made for Saudi Arabia to host the Games of Islamic Solidarity, scheduled to be held in Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah and Taif during the first quarter of the next lunar year: the Hijrah year of 1426 begins on February 10, 2005. The Games Organizing Committee, he said, has received applications for participation from 38 Muslim countries. The idea of the Games of Islamic Solidarity was proposed by the late Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz.
