Prince Sultan talks of national unity and the fight against terrorism

Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector-General Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, in a press statement published today in the Arabic daily ‘Ar-Riyadh’, affirmed that the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz and Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has given top priority to the aspirations and interests of the citizens, offering opportunities for enhanced economic power with efficient systems and leadership, and working to eliminate unemployment. Praising the concept of national dialogue, he commented: “We seek the comprehensive development of all society.” Referring to accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) he confirmed that agreements had been signed with most of the partners including the European Union.

As for the terrorist acts in Saudi Arabia, Prince Sultan remarked that the social schism expected by some in the wake of the violence has not happened, a fact that can be attributed to the moderate Islamic ways of the Kingdom, which hunts down those who practice terrorism, earning the world’s admiration for its success in this.
