The House of Representatives of the Philippines has unanimously adopted a resolution calling for the revival of the Middle East peace initiative proposed by Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. House Speaker Jose C. de Venecia Jr. today presented Saudi Ambassador to the Philippines Mohammed Ameen Wali a copy of the resolution, which was adopted on December 14.

The resolution - 'Resolution in Support of Crown Prince Abdullah's Saudi Plan For Arab-Israeli Peace and the UN-U.S.-European Union-Russia Roadmap, For Adoption Following the Succesful Visit to the Philippines of Saudi Parliamentary Speaker Dr. Salih Bin Abdullah Bin Humaid' - also asked the Philippine government through its representative in the UN to convey this expression of support to the UN General Assembly and the UN Security Council.
