Committees to implement charitable projects nationwide

Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz has ordered implementation of a number of charitable projects in various parts of the Kingdom, such as housing units, health centers, and desalination plants. A committee, chaired by Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation for military affairs Prince Khaled bin Sultan, has been set up to assess the requirements. Charitable projects would also include constructing roads to link villages with townships, digging wells, providing ambulances, distributing scholarships, and extending financial assistance to those burdened with debt as well as to prisoners and their families.

Meanwhile, Governor of Makkah Province Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdulaziz has set up a special committee to oversee Prince Sultan’s charitable projects in the province, tasked with short-listing ten projects in the areas of health, education, social care, water and roads.

In a related development, Prince Abdulmajeed unveiled plans to construct housing units for those Saudis whose applications for real estate loans have been approved.
