Health minister praises focus of new budget allocations

Minister of Health Dr Hamad Al-Mane issued a statement today praising the directives of Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to allocate SR 41 billion [U.S. $10.9 billion] from the expected surplus in this year's State budget for the implementation of service and development projects in general and health projects in particular. This money, he said, will allow the Health Ministry to carry out programs in preventive as well as clinical and rehabilitation medicine through the primary health care centers in all parts of the Kingdom. Arrangements are under way, he said, for the construction of 150 new health centers.
