SCT delegation attends tourism exhibition in Cairo

Secretary-General of the Supreme Commission of Tourism (SCT) Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz left Cairo today after attending the 5th Mediterranean Exhibition for Travel and Tourism. At a press conference, he confirmed that Saudi Arabia is proceeding with its strategy for building a tourism industry on firm bases of partnership between the State and the private sector, with plans for eventual transfer entirely to the private sector once the government has provided the infrastructure. Prince Sultan bin Salman went on to say that SCT is seeking to coordinate with the relevant departments and ministries to link the visa for Umrah (the minor pilgrimage) with tourist activities for pilgrims, who come from all over the world.
