Interior Ministry announces detainee’s arrival from United States

The Ministry of Interior has announced that Yasser Isam Hamdy, a Saudi citizen detained in the United States, has been released, and that he arrived today in Riyadh, where he was received by his family and relatives. He confirmed on arrival that he had voluntarily renounced his U.S. citizenship; from now on, he will be treated according to Saudi laws. The Ministry expressed appreciation for the cooperation of the U.S. authorities in facilitating his repatriation.
