Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, at a reception in Jeddah today for princes, ministers, senior officials, and citizens, pointed out that the perpetrators of criminal acts in the Kingdom are “either ignorant or crazy”. They have, he said, committed heinous acts which defame Islam worldwide, clearly deviated by Satan, and aiming only to harm this country in particular and Islam in general. Nevertheless, they will be defeated.

Crown Prince Abdullah cited one detainee, arrested today, who admitted that his intention was to commit acts of terrorism in a neighboring country and came to consult with the deviant group in Saudi Arabia. This group, he said, is being hunted down, and will be defeated, however long it may take. Their ideas, he reiterated, have nothing to do with Islam.
