Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal registered his name at a ballot center in Riyadh yesterday as a voter in the upcoming municipal elections. The elections, he said, represent an important phase in the Kingdom’s gradual movement towards reform in the service of the nation and its citizens, and called for support for the step to expand citizens’ participation in decisions affecting their daily lives.

Meanwhile, at the beginning of a regular session of the Consultative Council (Majlis Al-Shura) in Riyadh today Chairman Dr Shaikh Salih bin Abdullah bin Homaid urged the members of the council and all citizens to register their names to vote in the municipal elections.
