Prince Met'eb at Jenadriyah quotes Crown Prince on Islam's tolerance

On behalf of Deputy Prime Minister and Commander of the National Guard Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Commander for Military Affairs Prince General Met'eb bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who is also Deputy Chairman of the Higher Committee for the 18th National Festival for Heritage and Culture, today inaugurated Jenadriyah's cultural activities. Addressing this year's theme: 'This is Islam', Prince Met'eb read a statement from Crown Prince Abdullah that stressed the responsibility of all Arabs and Muslims, and in fact of honest people everywhere, to highlight the reality of Islam and its goals for mankind and to dispel suspicions raised against it, through awareness, wisdom, and dialogue, and by renunciation of unfruitful arguments and the rejection of coercion in religion. The statement expressed the wish that the noble meanings of the eternal message of Islam be explained and that Islamic teachings pertaining to goodness, love and tolerance be propagated, pointing out that Islam renounces extremism and symbolizes brotherhood and reconciliation.
